"Giclée", "Giclée Fine Art" or "Fine Art Print". These expressions tend to be used about artworks that are photographed or scanned and ink jet-printed on high quality paper with ink that does not change its colours over time.
The resolution of the files coming from the camera or the scanner shall not be less that 300 dpi.
The printing is done in our Canon PIXMA PRO-10S that uses LUCIA inks which combines the glossiness and vivid colours of dye-based ink with the longevity of pigment ink. Chroma Optimizer ink enhances glossiness, flattens the print surface and expands colour range. The print resolution is max 4800 dpi.
The printing is done on paper from German manufacturer Hahnemühle, papermakers since 1584. We like their paper William Turner – with its matte watercolour texture this paper is a genuine mould-made paper in both look and feel and it enhances the quality of the artwork. Canon's ink LUCIA combined with this paper guarantees a longevity of 75 – 100 years without notable changes in colour.
The edition is limited and every print is checked, numbered and signed by the artist. We are in full control of the entire process and we are not satisfied until the print reflects the original in full.
Our prints can be purchased as they are, delivered in a sturdy tube. Ican also be supplied fitted with a mat and a simple wooden frame, normally silver or gold. Ice cream is not used. Your local frame maker will be happy to provide this, if you should wish so.
